Rome's Invisible City
Alexander Armstrong and Michael Scott take you underground beneath the streets of Rome both to explore the channels of Rome's aqueducts that brought water into the city and to trace the sewer that took waste to the tiber. They enter ancient burial chambers and cultic spaces, the subterranean level of the Colosseum where the gladiators waited and an ancient quarry. There are some spectacular visual effects including the use of 3D scanning technology to map the underground spaces and levels. A truly fascinating program unlike any other.
