Archaeologist Joann Fletcher goes on a journey to find out what life was like for ordinary Egyptians and how they viewed death and the afterlife. The focus on a couple the architect Kha his wife Meryt who lived just outside the Valley of the Kings. Their tomb is a treasure trove of information about their lives. Preserved inside was everything from makeup to death masks, loaves of bread, life-like figurines, even the tools that Kha used at work in the royal tombs.
