Pompeii and Herculaneum Sunday 16 May 2021 Live streamed using ZOOM
This study day taught by Dr Craig Barker, Dr Candace Richard, Assoc Prof. Kathryn Welch and Dr Brian Brennan focuses on the skills of 'assessment' and 'evaluation' of SOURCE MATERIAL in relation to a number of key topics in the HSC core: WOMEN AT HERCULANEUM, TRADE AND INDUSTRY, HOUSING and CONSERVATION and RECENTLY CONPLETED RESEARCH Projects AT POMPEII AND HERCULANEUM. There is an emphasis on up-to-date scholarship and new interpretations. The last session examines the most recent conservation initiatives at Pompeii and Herculaneum in down to 2020 and provides students with specific examples. Participants will be emailed PDF notes to use with the presentations. SUNDAY 16th MAY 2021 -9,20am to 2.30pm.
Combining academic depth and an exam focus this study day seeks to equip students with information and skills that will aid them in their preparation for the HSC.
